Temple Beth El serves our community as a house of gathering, a house of learning, and a house of prayer.
We offer services for Shabbat, High Holidays, and other holidays and festivals. We also provide space and community for sharing our joys and sorrows as a community for the life-cycle events of our lives.
Schedule
Weekly Shabbat services are on Friday nights at 7:30 pm. Currently, Shabbat services are held on Zoom, with one or more hybrid services (in-person and on Zoom) per month. Holiday and festival observances are usually hybrid, with in-person services streaming on Zoom. For current updates, please send an email to tbeflint@gmail.com.
We want our services to be…
Inclusive
We each bring rich and varied experiences to our community and our congregation. We want to recognize and celebrate our diversity, knowing that we learn and grow when we listen to each other and our differing heritages and histories.
Welcoming
We want everyone who joins us to know that we are glad you are here. Whether it’s a quick hello in the chat on Zoom, or the delight of meeting in person, we gather as more than a congregation: we are a community, and each one is a vital part of that community.
Engaging
We hope that you will participate at whatever level suits you: reading a part, lighting the candles, leading a service, or simply joining as part of the whole. We hope to offer a variety of songs, Hebrew prayer, English interpretations, sermons, discussions, and conversations.
Inspiring
Through our holiday and Shabbat services, we hope to find inspiration from the past and work for justice in the future. We seek connections from our traditions to our life today and our work for a better tomorrow.
